A good chunk of college basketball schedules were released last week, but Missouri is set to add another game to the slate thanks to a Pac-12 foe and a multi-team event at a Connecticut casino.
Matt Norlander of CBS Sports reported on the likelihood of the Dec. 3 event at Mohegan Sun and added that the teams have been “MTE allies” of late as programs across the country are trying to adapt to the changing dynamics of scheduling during the coronavirus pandemic.
Coach Cuonzo Martin’s team is set to open the 2020-21 campaign the night before Thanksgiving Nov. 25 at home against Oral Roberts. If this report holds up, Mizzou would play Oregon, and then travel to Wichita State on Dec. 6 for the first meeting with the Shockers since 1951.
Mizzou plans to host 2020 Atlantic Sun champion Liberty to Mizzou Arena on Dec. 9, and 2020 Missouri Valley Conference Tournament champion Bradley on Dec. 22. The Tigers are set to host TCU in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge in Columbia on Jan. 30.
College hoops scheduling continues to evolve: Missouri and Oregon have plans to play each other on Dec. 3 at Mohegan Sun, sources told CBS Sports. Both schools will play at least two teams, and potentially three, beginning Dec. 2 in what’s been dubbed “Bubbleville.”

Contracts on this not done yet, but we are 17 days away from the season’s start, and Oregon and Missouri have gone through MTE-scheduling hell the past month. At this point they have every intention of getting this secured ASAP. The two schools have been MTE allies as of late
