Mizzou junior DL Marcell Frazier’s spring has ended early, but he should be back with the Tigers for fall, according to Colton Pouncy of Power Mizzou.

Frazier broke his arm in Saturday’s practice, and the injury required surgery. Last season, played in 12 games and made five starts. He recorded 33 tackles, including 19 solo, 8.5 for loss and 7.5 sacks. The tackles for loss and sacks were second on the team, behind Charles Harris.

With Harris foregoing his remaining eligibility to enter the NFL Draft, Frazier has a chance to be Mizzou’s most dominant defensive lineman. According to his MU bio, Missouri’s history of producing defensive linemen played a factor in landing the Portland, Ore. product.

Barry Odom’s squad opened spring practice on March 7. The Tigers’ Black & Gold spring game is scheduled for April 15 on the SEC Network with a 1 p.m. CT kickoff.
