No. 14 Missouri suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday against visiting No. 8 Alabama. However, Missouri earned a key recruiting victory off the field for the Class of 2026.

Four-star offensive tackle Johnnie Jones Jr. is committing to Missouri, according to Rivals. The 6-foot-7, 310-pound Jones Jr flipped from UCLA to Missouri. Jones Jr. is regarded by the 247Sports Composite as the No. 9 offensive tackle in the nation. Jones Jr. is also the No. 17 prospect from Florida and the No. 122 recruit in the country.

Jones is listed at 6-foot-6, 305 pounds. He attends Venice High School in Venice, Florida. He took an official visit to Mizzou back in September and has also been heavily recruited by programs like Florida State and Mississippi State since he decommitted from the Bruins on Sept. 14.

The Tigers now have 16 commitments in the class of 2026. Mizzou’s class ranks No. 37 nationally, per 247Sprots Composite rankings.

Next on the field for Missouri is a road game at Auburn on Oct. 18 as they aim to avoid a losing streak.
