The SEC West has some of the best defensive lines in the country, and that position is often used as a barometer for championship success.

However, Texas A&M’s Justin Madubuike recently told reporters that the Aggies have reached a new level.

“All of us are just mooching on each other’s energy,” he said, according to video from TexAgs. “I truly believe we can be unstoppable this year.”

Madubuike said he’s embracing the change from a younger guy, to a leader on the line.

“Leading by example, saying things that need to be said,” he said. “I don’t believe in talking way too much because it may go in one ear and out the other.”

The Aggies last season were second in the SEC in rushing defense after they allowed 95.2 yards per game, just barely behind Mississippi State’s 95.0. But they were tied for fifth in the league in sacks with 37.

Led by Derrick Brown, Auburn is widely viewed, at least nationally, as having arguably the best defensive line around, but the Aggies may have something to say about that if Madubuike’s words ring true.
