It feels like the football season just started but it is already Week 9 and several potential NFL Draft prospects have made their names known.
As is the case each year, the SEC has a number of players expected to go on to the NFL with high expectations surrounding them. Pro Football Focus recently released its updated Top 50 Big Board for the 2023 NFL Draft, which was filled with SEC names.
Here’s a look at those in the order in which they stand:
1. Bryce Young, Alabama
2. EDGE Will Anderson, Alabama
3. QB Will Levis, Kentucky
5. DI Jalen Carter, Georgia
10. EDGE Nolan Smith, Georgia
12. CB Cam Smith, South Carolina
15. CB Kelee Ringo, Georgia
16. S Brian Branch, Alabama
20. CB Jaylon Jones, Texas A&M
25. T Broderick Jones, Georgia
26. S Antonio Johnson, Texas A&M
29. EDGE B.J. Ojulari, LSU
33. G O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida
39. CB Kris Abrams-Draine, Missouri
41. LB Drew Sanders, Arkansas
46. WR Kayshon Boutte, LSU
47. EDGE Byron Young, Tennessee
49. QB Hendon Hooker, Tennessee
That’s a total of 18 prospects for the conference — certainly nothing to scoff at with several more who could find their names on lists such as this one. It will be interesting to see how things pan out come April.
