New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick has made “Do your job” a famous quote during his two decades at the helm in New England. There probably isn’t three words that better summarizes him as a coach.

Cleveland Browns and former Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett borrowed the quote this week to rip the NFL officials.

โ€œDo your job just like we need to do our job,”ย Garrett said according to Cleveland.com. ย Itโ€™s easy to say โ€˜well, if the guy didnโ€™t run up and down, you donโ€™t need that call,โ€™ but you call that fair for either side. If itโ€™s holding, call holding. If itโ€™s a false start, false start, whether itโ€™s us or them. There was one point where it was like eight calls to one I believe? Or seven calls to one.โ€

Garrett specifically addressed a couple bad calls from Sunday’s loss against the Los Angeles Chargers. Offensive tackle Russell Okung appeared to commit a false start, but the officials didn’t throw a flag, and the play led to a touchdown.

Officials also called Garrett forย a questionable personal foul against Ben Roethlisberger in Week 1. It came on third down but extended the Pittsburgh Steelers’ drive, which ended in a touchdown. That game ended in a tie.ย The Browns were on the wrong end of a call in Week 4 against the Oakland Raiders as well.

These types of comments usually result in fines, but Garrett apparently doesn’t care. He says he is prepared to pay a fine if the league slaps him with one.
