Myles Stute, Vanderbilt transfer, announces SEC commitment

Myles Stute is staying in the SEC after all.
The 6-foot-7, 215 pound junior from Washington D.C. committed to South Carolina after he averaged 8.4 points and 4.6 rebounds while shooting 36.1% from 3-point range this season. Stute spent the past 3 seasons at Vanderbilt, including 2 as a primary starter. He started 56 games for the Commodores over the past 2 years. He has 2 years of eligibility remaining.
Stute averaged 8.4 points per game this past season and was efficient from outside as he made 36.1% of his 3-point attempts this season. As a sophomore in 2021-22, Stute led the SEC from 3-point range at 43.2% from three, and he was one of 2 players to play all 36 games.
Stute will be a key piece for Lamont Paris as he continues the rebuild at South Carolina following a 2022-23 season in which the Gamecocks finished 12th in the SEC with an overall record of 11-21.
