Nate Oats and Rylan Griffen are gearing up for Alabama’s game at Auburn on Saturday with ESPN’s “College GameDay” in town to preview the game.
When they discussed the atmosphere ahead of the game, Oats and Griffen took different approaches.
“I’m not gonna lie, I don’t wake up in time to watch College GameDay. … That’s not gonna change tomorrow,” Griffen said.
Oats added, “This game has become a national game, which is why College GameDay decided to come to Auburn. It’ll be great. It’s good for the state, it’s good for basketball in the state of Alabama. It’s good for both programs.”
Health wise, Oats shared an update about Alabama forward Noah Clowney, who suffered a facial injury and did not return from the win over Florida on Wednesday. Oats after that game said Clowney would be good to go, and on Friday added, “He’s had two good days of practice. We practiced light yesterday and then we went a little harder tonight. He was good in both.”
