New Kansas AD Jeff Long jokingly avoids saying ‘Mizzou’ when talking about his daughter’s college

The Kansas Jayhawks recently hired former Arkansas AD Jeff Long as their new athletic director, and that makes things awkward, as Long’s daughter, Christina, is studying journalism at Mizzou.
So, Jeff is going from one of his daughter’s rival schools to another, and the MU-KU rivalry is one of the most-heated rivalries in the country.
During his introductory press conference, Long introduced his family, but made it a point to avoid saying the name of his daughter’s school:
Jeff Long introducing family: Daughter studies journalism at a university "in a bordering state and that's where I'll leave it."

Long was just having some good-natured fun, but Mizzou fans will be anxious to see how eager he is to reignite the rivalry between the Jayhawks and Tigers.
It’s a shame that the rivalry has fallen by the wayside, and it would be good for both states if Long and Mizzou AD Jim Sterk could bring it back in the coming years.
