Matthew Stafford couldn’t leave town without offering a classy video tribute dedicated to the Detroit Lions and all the supporters he and his family have following his 12 seasons with the franchise.

The Stafford era in Detroit came to an end this offseason after the franchise traded the quarterback to the Los Angeles Rams in a deal that was previously agreed upon but just become official recently.

In a classy gesture, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft out of Georgia couldn’t leave town without saying thanks to everyone that helped him during his time with the club.

On Wednesday evening, Stafford issued a nine-minute video saying thanks. The video has gone viral with over one million views.
