Nick Chubb, Sony Michel give Jacob Eason pointers on running the ball

No one would confuse Georgia freshman QB Jacob Eason for a running back, and that’s OK. That’s not what Eason was brought to Athens to do.
However, according to Macon.com, he would like to improve his running game so he can be a more effective quarterback.
So, he sought out help. Having star RBs Nick Chubb and Sony Michel to learn from certainly helps Eason’s cause:
โWith the two best running backs in the nation, itโs not that hard to learn from them and see what they do,โ Eason said. โObviously Iโm not going to run like them but they can give me an idea.โ
Eason had seven rushing yards in Friday’s Liberty Bowl victory over TCU, but that number took a hit from being sacked three times.
Eason said he’s happy with the way he used his feet for the most part:
โThatโs definitely not one of my strengths, but like (Friday), there were definitely some times where I could scamper for some yards and get some first downs,โ Eason said. โThatโs a big help.โ
Of course, coach Kirby Smart and all Georgia fans hope to see Eason’s passing game improve first and foremost, but making himself a threat with his feet is a good thing, too.
