Nick Marshall had a dazzling debut in his Canadian Football League debut, returning an interception for a touchdown, but his performance has apparently come at a cost as the former Auburn quarterback has been sidelined by the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Marshall started the season opener for the Roughriders but has since been placed on the CFL’s six-game injured list. According to his head coach, Chris Jones, Marshall suffered “a little bang” in the game. No other specific injury information was provided by the team.

The former Auburn quarterback last played in the NFL back in 2016, as he appeared in eight games for the New York Jets. He has also spent time with the Jacksonville Jaguars after leaving Auburn.
