Nick Saban wants the Alabama crowd to make an impact on Saturday when the Crimson Tide takes on Ole Miss.

Saban brought up the gameday environment in Tuscaloosa during his Wednesday press conference.

โ€œThis is probably the first big game that weโ€™ve had here now for like a year and a half,” Saban told reporters, per AL.com’s Mike Rodak. “Because of last yearโ€™s COVID. I know weโ€™ve had a couple of home games. But this is an SEC game at home for the first time in a couple of years. I hope our fans are excited about it as our team is.โ€

Rodak adds that Saban said it was โ€œreally, really toughโ€ when Alabama played at Florida in Week 3 and he hopes fans can โ€œmake it that way for Ole Miss” on Saturday. This will be the Crimson Tide’s first home game against an SEC team that will have full capacity at Bryant-Denny Stadium since the Covid-19 pandemic.

The game will take place at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
