No Gator-aid? Big 12 crew may not know how to properly call a fumble recovery

The Florida Gators have had 2 turnovers in the first half against Miami on Saturday night, but still hold a narrow 7-6 lead.
However, it’s fair to wonder whether the Hurricanes should have had a chance to kick their second field goal of the night, as it appeared Florida recovered its own fumble.
As you can see below, RB Malik Davis seems to have possession while laying on the ground:

Still, Miami was allowed to play on and “recover” the ball. That caused quite a stir on social media, as you can imagine:
