Notre Dame announces multimillion-dollar jersey patch deal with SoFi

Add Notre Dame to the growing list of collegiate programs filling their financial coffers with brand partnership cash.
The Fighting Irish announced Tuesday that is has joined with SoFi Technologies in a six-year partnership that will land SoFiโs logo on Notre Dame athletic uniforms worth reportedly between $18-20 million.
The Notre Dame-SoFi deal installs the company as the official financial services partner of Notre Dame Athletics. Yahoo Sportsโ Ross Dellenger reported the collaborationโs value to Notre Dame.
As part of the collaboration, Notre Dame touted the establishment of an annual fund to further Notre Dameโs โ4 for Foreverโ promise, which will support all Notre Dame student-athletes through scholarships, financial education, career development and exclusive opportunities.
โOur โ4 for Foreverโ promise at Notre Dame is paramount to providing the best student-athlete experience in the country,โ Notre Dame director of athletics Pete Bevacqua said in a statement. โSoFi shares in this commitment to developing strong, ambitious leaders who are set up for success at Notre Dame and beyond. Together, our relationship will create lasting value for our student-athletes and their families for generations to come.โ
The partnership also introduces the SoFi Champions Scholarship, a comprehensive scholarship program dedicated to walk-on student-athletes, annually recognizing one menโs and one womenโs student-athlete who exemplify ambition, resilience, leadership and service. Each recipient will receive a one-year full tuition scholarship.
