Notre Dame and Boston College dealt with some blustery snow globe conditions in South Bend.
It was 24 degrees with plunging temperatures and conditions expected into the night, according to the National Weather Service.
Lake effect snow and patchy blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches. Visibilities reduced to less than a quarter of a mile in heavier snow showers. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. Wind chills dropping into the single digits tonight.
It was a lopsided affair on the scoreboard as Notre Dame led 44-0 late in the the third quarter in a game that was a snoozer from the get-go. The Fighting Irish led 17-0 after the first quarter, and by late in the third had a 19-5 edge in first downs, and a 383-129 margin in yards.
