Clemson is pounding Notre Dame. Do one-loss Irish still deserve a Playoff berth?

The Clemson Tigers are pounding the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 31-3 in the third quarter of the ACC Championship Game.

Earlier this year, Notre Dame beat Clemson in South Bend 47-40, but Clemson didn’t have quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Saturday night, it does, and Lawrence is torching the Irish’s defense. Lawrence has connected on 16-of-26 passes for 241 yards and 2 passing touchdowns touchdowns. He also added a 34-yard rushing touchdown, too.

The question now becomes — what’s the magic number for Notre Dame? If they lose 41-3, can the College Football Playoff committee really put them in the top 4? Will the Playoff committee put a 6-0 Ohio State in the Playoff?

Texas A&M is sitting at No. 5 right now, and the Aggies dominated Tennessee Saturday. The Aggies are loving this Clemson beat-down against Notre Dame.
