It’s prime recruiting season in college football, and all of the recent coaching changes mean that a number of top recruits from around the country are suddenly back on the market for opposing teams to attempt to flip their commitments.

The Oklahoma Sooners are wasting little time in this area, as they just flipped the commitment of 4-star wide receiver Jahsiear Rogers from the Penn State Nittany Lions, per On3 recruiting expert Hayes Fawcett.

A 6’0 175-pound speedster out of Delaware, Rogers ranks as the 52nd best wide receiver in the 2026 cycle, and the top overall player in his home state per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He had been committed to Penn State since June, but the recent firing of longtime head coach James Franklin has changed the calculus for Rogers when it comes to potentially suiting up for the Nittany Lions in college.

Rogers is now the 19th commitment Sooners’ head coach Brent Venables and his staff have secured in the current cycle, and the fourth wide receiver in what is currently ranked as the 18th best class in the country per 247Sports Composite.

With early national signing day a little over a month away, Oklahoma still has some more time to put the finishing touches on their high school recruiting for this season.
