Oklahoma picks up commitment from elite 2027 recruit out of California

Oklahoma made a big splash on the recruiting trail on Tuesday afternoon.

The Sooners have landed a commitment from 4-star athlete Demare Dezeurn, who is one of the best high school prospects in the country for the class of 2027. He shared the news of his commitment with Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett:

He is a huge addition for Oklahoma in the class of 2027. He’s currently regarded as the No. 95 overall player and the No. 17 receiver in the country for that cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. prospect from the state of California for his class.

Dezeurn attends Palisades High School in Pacific Palisades, California. He chose the Sooners over programs such as Alabama, Michigan and Texas, among many others. He was on campus in Norman this past weekend for OU’s big win over the Wolverines.

Dezeurn is the second 2027 prospect to commit to Oklahoma so far, although more could be joining him in the coming days.
