Oops: ESPN needs geography refresher course after botching NCAA baseball graphic

The top 16 seeds for the NCAA Baseball Tournament were named on Monday, and four SEC teams — Florida, Georgia, Ole Miss and Arkansas — were among them.

However, when ESPN tried to put together a graphic showing the locations of the top seeds, there was a problem.

As you can see in the graphic below, the three North Carolina teams — North Carolina, NC State and ECU — are located in Virginia and the two teams from South Carolina — Clemson and Coastal Carolina — are situated in North Carolina:

Hopefully the schools traveling to those locations don’t follow ESPN’s map, as they’ll end up a little too far north for their liking.

The regionals start this week, and 10 SEC teams will compete for the chance to advance to the super-regional round.
