Out-of-shape Robert Nkemdiche appears long shot to make the Miami Dolphins

Former Ole Miss defensive lineman Robert Nkemdiche is in search of a new NFL team, and it’s reportedly not going well.
Before a preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Nkemdiche struggled to get across the field for the Miami Dolphins. Nkemdiche, “tried to run gassers pregame and could not complete(ly) run across field,” Miami Herald columnist Armando Salguero tweeted.
This comes less than a month after the former first-round pick was cut by the Arizona Cardinals after he played in just 27 games.
In early June, NFL.com reported, he was arrested for speeding and driving with a suspended license. Nkemdiche was put on the physically unable to perform list as he recovered from an ACL tear, but was also pronounced “not in shape” by head coach Kliff Kingsbury.
Nkemdiche last season started six games and made 4.5 sacks. Those were his only starts and sacks in his Cardinals career.
Robert Nkemdiche, who joined the Dolphins a couple of weeks ago and is on active/PUP, doesn’t seem to be in any sort of football shape. Tried to run gassers pregame and could not complete run across field (53 1/3 yards) and all the way back.
