Pat McAfee delivers passionate pick to wrap up College GameDay’s Nashville show
ESPN’s Pat McAfee is going with Vanderbilt to beat Mizzou on Saturday night in Nashville.
McAfee made his always-dramatic final pick of College GameDay just after noon eastern time on Saturday. After initially talking up Ahmad Hardy, Eli Drinkwitz and this Mizzou team, McAfee made it clear he thinks the home team will come away victorious.
“I love this city, I love these people,” McAfee said. “I love the hospitality this morning. Give me the Vanderbilt Commodores to win in a massive way.”
Vanderbilt, like it was a week ago against LSU, is favored in the betting markets for this matchup. BetMGM has the Commodores at -2.5 as kickoff approaches on Saturday. Vanderbilt is looking to move to 7-1 on the season with a victory.
This is a game with potential College Football Playoff implications for both teams. Both the Tigers and Commodores enter Week 9 with just one loss, so the winner of this game will likely enter November projected to earn a spot in the 12-team field.
Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
