For all the praise the LSU Tigers have received following their tremendous Week 1 showing, the Clemson Tigers have been dragged through the mud.

To say Dabo Swinney’s team fell flat on Saturday night would be an understatement. To Paul Finebaum, the performance shows that the writing is on the wall. On Monday’s episode of Get Up, he declared the Dabo Swinney Era was “over.”

“I am just in shock at some of Dabo Swinney’s moves… it’s over for Dabo Swinney,” Finebaum said. “I know that sounds hyperbolic… but it’s the truth. It’s been trending for a number of years… on the national stage, on the big stage, where Clemson used to own [things], they can’t play.”

While writing the Swinney-Clemson obituary, Finebaum blasted the two-time national champion for bringing in former Arkansas head coach Chad Morris as his offensive coordinator.

“If you think you’re going to go out and get Chad Morris from the dollar store reject base and think you’re going to save your program, you’re not going to,” Finebaum said. “This program played for the national championship six and a half years ago… and, mostly, its been the bottom since then.”

Dabo and Co. hope to rebound from the blowout loss versus the Georgia Southern Eagles in Week 2.
