There were a lot of noteworthy results in the college football world Saturday, but the game that most analysts continue talking about is Georgia’s 49-3 thrashing off Oregon.
That the Bulldogs won the game certainly wasn’t a surprise, but the dominance they showed on both sides of the ball in winning was unexpected for many.
On Monday during “SEC This Morning,” analysts Peter Burns and Chris Doering took their turns to gush about Georgia’s performance.

“What Georgia did to Oregon was absolutely incredible,” Burns said. “We knew this team was going to be pretty good and I didn’t think Oregon was going to be great, or at least deserving of that 11th-ranked nod they got before the season. But Holy Hell, that was men amongst boys.”
Added Doering: “We talked about the defense, all they lost from last year, how long it would take them to get up to speed. It took them about, what, two plays to get up to speed. I mean, they were absolutely lights out. Much like we saw last year, fast, physical, and most importantly, playing together as a unit.”
The Bulldogs return to action on Saturday with a home game against Samford.
