Report: Big Ten squad pauses workouts after 9 positive COVID-19 tests

All across the country, college football players are back on campuses for voluntary workouts in the buildup to the 2020 season.

However, nationwide, teams are also dealing with outbreaks of the virus among players and staffers, which is leading to some schools having to press pause on workouts.

On Saturday, the Maryland Terrapins became the latest team to temporarily suspend their workouts after 9 players and staffers tested positive:

NFL analyst Chase Goodbread has a running tally of the programs that have had to suspend workouts. Just add Maryland to this list:

Concerns are growing about whether or not we’ll be able to have a 2020 season at all. This isn’t good news as we try to move toward a September start date.
