NFL free agency has been a whirlwind of activity so far, and it’s only just getting started.
On Thursday, former Florida OL Mike Pouncey reportedly asked for his release from the Miami Dolphins — the team that drafted him in the first round of the 2011 NFL Draft and where Pouncey has spent his entire career.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dolphins are expected to grant Pouncey’s request for a release:

Why Pouncey wanted to be released is unclear, but the Dolphins did just agree to a deal with former Green Bay and Chicago OL Josh Sitton.
Pouncey’s twin brother, Maurkice, plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers, so it’ll be interesting to see if a reunion is in the works this offseason.
