Many Tennessee fans are on the edge of their seats on Sunday morning, as they await any news regarding coach Butch Jones coming out of Knoxville.

However, Volunteer faithful will likely have to wait at least one more week before the embattled coach is fired, even after a loss at Kentucky on Saturday night.

According to Tennessee insider Jimmy Hyams, there have been no press conferences scheduled for this week to discuss Jones’s job status:

That will obviously come as a disappointment to the majority of Vol Nation, as “Fire Butch Jones” signs have been popping up everywhere lately.

For now, though, it seems Jones will indeed coach on Saturday against Southern Miss. That appears to be a winnable game for the Vols, but considering how much they struggled against UMass earlier this year, anything is possible.

Should he lose that game, Jones will almost certainly be gone. But, then again, that’s what many thought after the Kentucky loss.
