A former top recruit is reportedly transferring from Louisville, the second player to transfer from the program in the last week.

Multiple reports, including the Courier-Journal, have suggested that Russ Yeast, a former Indiana Mr. Football who was a top three recruit for the Cardinals in 2017, is leaving.

The cornerback, who was a receiver in high school, is the son of former Kentucky receiving legend Craig Yeast. He committed to UK before switching to Louisville, and he also had offers from Alabama, Auburn and Notre Dame.

He was a 4-star prospect from Greenwood, Indiana, the No. 3 player in Indiana in that recruiting class, and No. 33 player in America at his position.

He’ll have two years of eligibility left and will likely have to sit out for a season per NCAA rules.
