According to multiple reports, Kevin Sumlin informed his football team on Friday that true freshman Kyler Murray will start Saturday’s game against South Carolina.

Murray did not play in last week’s game against Ole Miss after reportedly getting into a confrontation with offensive coordinator Jake Spavital against Alabama.

Murray has been battling second-year passer Kyle Allen and Jake Hubenak for the first-team spot.
