Florida star tight end Kyle Pitts is out for Saturday night’s game against LSU, per multiple reports.

Pitts was injured last week against Tennessee, and he’ll be held out against LSU due to the lingering injury. So, Pitts will likely miss his final game in The Swamp as a Florida Gator, as he a projected top NFL Draft pick this spring. Most think he’ll be a top 10 pick.

Florida has already won the SEC East, and it’ll face Alabama Saturday for the SEC Championship in Atlanta. So, the LSU game essentially means nothing in conference; however, Florida still has Playoff hopes.

On the season, Pitts has caught 36 passes for 641 yards and 11 touchdowns.

Throughout the season, Pitts at times has looked like college football’s best player regardless of position. Pitts, along with Alabama wide receiver DeVonta Smith, have combined to become the 2 of the biggest playmakers in the nation as pass catchers.
