Now that most of the college football conferences have their plans set for the 2020 season, it’s time for college basketball to decide what it wants to do.

Recently, reports have targeted late-November as a potential start date, and it seems that is indeed the case.

On Wednesday afternoon, multiple reports from college basketball insiders revealed that Nov. 25 has been decided as the first day for college basketball:

That’s an important date because it will allow preseason Thanksgiving “Feast Week” tournaments to be played, which are popular for fans and TV networks.

Not every conference has to start on Nov. 25, but that will be the first day the NCAA will allow teams to play. We’ll see what sort of plan each conference comes up with over the next couple of months.
