Rock bottom? ESPN analysts unload on Michigan Wolverines

Facing a 28-0 halftime deficit against Wisconsin, Michigan had a rough outing on Saturday. ESPN college football analysts Joey Galloway and Jesse Palmer didn’t pull any punches about that performance.
The Badgers by early in the third quarter had out-rushed the Wolverines by 174 to 42. Michigan had just seven first downs by midway through the third quarter.
At a break earlier in the game, ESPN host Matt Barrie said, “This could be rock bottom in a season that’s been awful.”
Galloway initially deflected talking about Michigan, and then pointed out that Wisconsin had a long layoff in between games. But that the Wolverines could defend the tight end and running back in the flat, for starters.
“Michigan doesn’t do anything well,” Palmer said. “They don’t run the ball, they don’t stop the run, they turn it over on offense. Their DBs get beat deep. They’re banged up right now on the offense, but there is a talent gap between Michigan and everybody else they’ve played so far in the Big Ten with the exception of Minnesota in Week 1. Michigan will be lucky if they win two games this year.”
