Sage Ryan is on his way out of LSU, and the Tigers now have an even bigger need in the defensive backfield.
Ryan started 9 of the 12 games this past season and broke up 3 passes and recorded 35 tackles, including 4.5 for a loss.
Ryan shared the news on social media when he thanked Brian Kelly and his family:
“Tiger Nation,
I would like to thank Coach Kelly and the entire LSU coaching staff for the opportunity to further my education and to play the game I love at Louisiana State University. I would also like to thank my family for their unwavering support and guidance as I navigate the next steps in my collegiate career.
With that being said, I would like to announce that I will be entering the transfer portal effective immediately.”
