Sam Pittman put it bluntly at the end of the first quarter. Much was made coming into the game about Arkansas’ 5-game losing streak, and brutal schedule away from home. But the Razorbacks didn’t show much life in the first half.

“We’re dead right now, we need to wake the hell up,” Pittman said to ESPN at the end of the first quarter.

“This offense remains powerless, impotent, disconcerted,” Mark Jones said on ESPN near the end of the first half.

ESPN then displayed a graphic that Arkansas allowed 2 sacks in the first half against Mississippi State, and has allowed 29 for the season.

The Bulldogs led 7-3 at halftime as boos fell from Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium
