Scott Frost facing a must-win Week 0 game? Nebraska AD Trev Alberts weighs in

Scott Frost and the Nebraska Cornhuskers finished a disappointing 3-5 in the pandemic-impacted 2020 season.
On Saturday afternoon, they’ll kick off their 2021 campaign at Illinois — a team they lost to in 2020.
Gone is AD Bill Moos. In his place is new AD Trev Alberts. So, does that mean Frost’s seat is even hotter? Many fans and analysts think this Week 0 matchup is a must-win game for the Cornhuskers.
But, according to ESPN’s Gene Wojciechowski on College GameDay, Alberts denied that Frost is coaching for his job on Saturday (via 247Sports):
“I asked him point-blank, ‘Is Scott Frost coaching for his job this season?'” Wojciechowski said. “He said, ‘Well, even the great Tom Osborne endured criticism when he was at Nebraska.’ But he emphasized, and the quote is, ‘It would be a mischaracterization to say that Scott Frost is coaching for his job,’ end quote. Rece, it seems fairly definitive.”
That’s a pretty weird way to try to say, “No, Frost is not coaching for his job.” Feel free to read between the lines and try to parse out any secret meaning if you wish.
However, we won’t know how much pressure is on Frost unless Nebraska loses on Saturday. The game at Illinois kicks off at 1 p.m. ET and can be seen on FOX.
