Week 4 of the 2025 college football season is set to feature several very intriguing and competitive matchups, and legendary ESPN reporter Scott Van Pelt has just unveiled his against-the-spread picks for all of Saturday’s biggest games.
Van Pelt has the Clemson Tigers getting back on track against Fran Brown and the Syracuse Orange, and he also has them winning big by covering the current 16.5 point spread at home.
In perhaps the biggest game of the entire weekend, SVP also has the No. 22 Auburn Tigers covering +7.5 on the road against the No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners.
He isn’t as high on the No. 13 Ole Miss Rebels, though, as he believes 13.5 points is a bit too much for Lane Kiffin and the Rebs to handle against a very stout Tulane Green Wave squad.
SVP also isn’t taking the No. 24 Notre Dame Fighting Irish to cover their 25.5 point spread against the Purdue Boilermakers after they got out to a very rough start over the first couple of weeks of the season, and he took the Gators +9.5 over the No. 4 Miami Hurricanes in their matchup down in South Beach.

Finally, SVP picked the No. 20 Vanderbilt Commodores to win their matchup against the Georgia State Cougars, but the 28.5 points were a bit rich for his blood, so he picked against them on the spread.
Van Pelt is 18-8 on his against-the-spread picks this season, so it will be exciting to see how his selections for this weekend end up panning out.
