Scott Van Pelt has a pick for Saturday’s highly-anticipated matchup between Ole Miss and Florida.
The veteran Sports Center host is picking Florida plus the points this weekend. Van Pelt made the Florida +11.5 pick during his weekly “Winners” segment on ESPN.
“Ole Miss is in the Playoff mix, they’re in the Swamp with a Gator team off a win over LSU last week,” Van Pelt said. “I think this is a lot of points to be giving them. In all kinds of weather, Florida plus the points.”
Van Pelt is 7-3 all-time when picking Florida against ranked teams during this segment, according to ESPN.
This is a must-win game for Ole Miss. The Rebels are 8-2 on the season and are on track to reach the College Football Playoff if they can avoid sustaining another loss during the regular season.
The Rebels are facing a Florida team that’s highly-motivated coming off of arguably the best win of the Billy Napier era last week against LSU. Florida is 1 win away from clinching bowl eligibility as well.
