We’ve already heard what Nick Saban and Gus Malzahn have had to say about the NCAA’s new headset rule, limiting teams to only 20 per game.

However, on Wednesday, SEC commissioner Greg Sankey also weighed in, and he seemed to echo Saban’s sentiment that there are bigger problems.

Sankey brushed off the question, saying there were more important things to talk about than a silly headset rule:

The rule will certainly have an impact on how coaches operate on game days, but considering how much talk there has been about scheduling more conference games, transfers within the conference, alcohol sales at stadiums and more, Sankey does have a full plate.

The headset rule is here for the 2018 season, so it’s time to accept it and move on.
