The 2020 SEC season is cruising along, and we’ve seen some impressive statistical performances thus far.
Saturday’s Week 8 slate of games featured offensive explosions from Ole Miss and Florida. Florida QB Kyle Trask is playing like a Heisman Trophy candidate, and Ole Miss QB Matt Corral is piling up the passing yards.
As we move toward Week 9, here’s a look at who leads the SEC in 9 key statistical categories (via CFBStats.com):
- Passing yards: Matt Corral, Ole Miss — 2,359
- Passing TDs: Kyle Trask, Florida — 28
- Rushing yards: Kevin Harris, South Carolina — 817
- Rushing TDs: Najee Harris, Alabama — 14
- Receiving yards: Elijah Moore, Ole Miss — 1,054
- Receiving TDs: Terrace Marshall Jr., LSU — 9
- Sacks: Kingsley Enagbare, South Carolina — 5.0
- Tackles: Grant Morgan, Arkansas — 85
- Interceptions: Seven players tied — 3
Alabama has been off the past 2 weeks, so it’s a safe bet some Crimson Tide standouts will make a run at some of these numbers.
We’ll see where things stand after SEC Week 9 action!
