SEC lands 7 players among Walter Camp Player of the Year semifinalists

The SEC was well-represented among the Walter Camp Player of the Year semifinalists, as the conference landed 7 players on the list.

Overall, there’s a 22-player watch list includes 9 quarterbacks, 5 running backs, 4 wide receiver/tight ends and 3 defensive players. Sixteen different schools and 7 conferences (including independents) are represented on the list.

Former Michigan State running back Kenneth Walker III, who is a member of the Seattle Seahawks, was the 2021 Walter Camp Player of Year.

This award is voted on by the 131 FBS head coaches and sports information directors.
