SEC Nation has traveled all around the South each week during the 2024 season, and they aren’t finished yet.

The SEC-focused pregame show will be heading to Austin, Texas, on Saturday, Dec. 21 to be on location for Clemson-Texas in the first round of the College Football Playoff. The SEC Network announced that choice on Friday night.

The network also announced that Marty & McGee will be live from Columbus, Ohio, for Tennessee vs. Ohio State that same day:

Texas earned the No. 5 seed in this year’s College Football Playoff after narrowly losing the SEC Championship Game to Georgia in overtime. The Longhorns went 11-2 this season with both losses coming against UGA. They’re considered significant favorites over Clemson in the first round.

The Tigers made the field by virtue of being the 5th highest-ranked conference champion. Clemson defeated SMU in the ACC Championship Game thanks to a buzzer-beating field goal by Nolan Hauser. This will be Clemson’s 7th CFP appearance all-time.

Although Texas and Clemson are both storied programs, this will be their first-ever meeting in football.

SEC Nation will begin at 10 a.m. ET on Saturday, Dec. 21. Kickoff between Texas and Clemson is set for 4 p.m. ET that afternoon.
