As we approach the 2020 college football season, SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic is revealing his top offensive linemen in the SEC.

Cubelic, a former offensive lineman at Auburn, shared his top 5 SEC centers earlier this week. Now, he has revealed his top 5 guards in the conference.

Heading into the season, Cubelic is going with Tennessee’s Trey Smith at No. 1 followed by Alabama’s Deonte Brown, Georgia’s Ben Cleveland, LSU’s Ed Ingram and South Carolina’s Sadarius Hutcherson. It’s no surprise to see Smith at No. 1. The Volunteer standout was recently named a 2020 Walter Camp Preseason All-American.

Cubelic acknowledged that another Vol could find his way into the top 5 if ruled eligible for the upcoming season.

We’ll find out this fall if these preseason rankings hold up through the 2020 season.
