Week 8 of the 2026 college football season is officially in the books, and the folks over at SEC Shorts have released another hilarious skit parodying all of the action from the best conference in the sport.
The latest episode pokes fun at programs across the conference by having them terrorized by parity, a nod to how hotly contested the conference has turned out to be this season.

The skit is set up like a traditional horror movie trailer, where a mysterious killer picks off each team one at a time, with every victim being a team that has suffered major upsets over the past several weeks.
The first victim to be found is Texas A&M, with the other teams commenting on how they were ranked No. 9 in the country, a jab at the Week 3 upset at the hands of the Kentucky Wildcats.
In order to get to the bottom of what is going on, the SEC teams turn toward Nick Saban-era Alabama for help, but Saban-era Alabama tells them that they all waited for 17 years for somebody to end the dynasty and that they thought everybody was going to get their turn. Now, they all got what they asked for, but it isn’t turning out the way they all expected.
The rest of the skit features all the SEC teams going around one by one, picking each other off the same way they have been on the field all year, with a couple of not-so-subtle jabs at the expanded College Football Playoff format thrown in for good measure.
SEC Shorts always finds a way to get to the heart of what’s going on in the conference in a hilarious way, and it did so again with this horror-story-inspired skit.
