Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to attend Texas A&M-Kentucky game

The Kyle Field crowd will include the Secretary of War on Saturday.
Per a government release, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth will attend Texas A&M vs. Kentucky on Saturday. Kickoff for the game is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. It will air on ESPN.
Hegseth’s plans are to visit both Austin and College Station on Saturday. In College Station, Hegseth will deliver remarks to the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University and tour the Veterans Resource Center. Thursday’s announcement notes that Texas A&M is set to honor POW/MIA during Saturday’s game.

National POW/MIA Recognition Day is designated as the third Friday in September. The Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets Association shared remembrance of an Aggie hero in a Thursday post on Facebook.
Saturday’s game features a Texas A&M squad that is 2-0 after nonconference wins over Missouri State and Arizona State. The Wildcats are 1-1, having defeated Youngstown State in Week 1 before dropping their SEC opener against Alabama.
