Shaedon Sharpe was originally a member of the 2022 recruiting class, but he reclassified and ended up at Kentucky for the start of the spring semester this month.

He has yet to play in a game for the Wildcats, but he could see some time as the year wears on.

We’ll see if coach John Calipari plays him because, according to ESPN’s Jonathan Givony, Sharpe will be eligible for the 2022 NBA Draft. Givony’s reports says Sharpe meets the NBA’s criteria:

Sharpe turns 19 on May 30 and thus meets the age-requirement for the NBA draft, along with being one NBA season removed from high school graduation.

Kentucky has played the 1-and-done game a lot under Calipari. Could Sharpe really be a “half-and-done” prospect?

We’ll see how Coach Cal wants to use the talented guard down the stretch and if he ends up leaving Lexington after less than a full season at the end of the semester.
