The arrest of Shai Werts seems even more questionable now that police body camera footage from the event has been released.
The deputy that ultimately arrested Georgia Southern’s starting quarterback threatened to do so before even finding the bird poop on the hood of Werts’ car.
The video below clearly shows the bird poop on the hood of Werts’ car that somehow tested positive for cocaine.
While he was arrested and charged with drug possession on July 31, but that charge has been dropped against Werts after bird poop was later analyzed by police. Werts was also given a speeding ticket, which he must still pay.

This an extensive recap of the bizarre Shai Werts (Georgia Southern QB) arrest. I know there are two sides to every story and I know being a policeman is a very difficult job. But it doesn't appear Werts was treated fairly. #LSU pic.twitter.com/N0XlzKTeFx— Jacques Doucet (@JacquesDoucet) August 11, 2019
