Shane Beamer gave his weekly injury update during his “Carolina Calls” radio show on Thursday, two days before South Carolina welcomes Tennessee to Williams-Brice Stadium.
And it’s good news for one of the team’s starters on the offensive line.
Gamecocks center Carter Miller was listed as questionable on the SEC‘s initial availability report released on Wednesday. Beamer, though, said that Miller is “expected to be available,” according to The Post and Courier’s David Cloninger.

Meanwhile, while Q Scott could be trending toward being out against the Volunteers, his return is on the horizon. Beamer said the defensive back will be “back sooner rather than later” after being hospitalized with a head injury following the Gamecocks’ loss to Kentucky.
Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy is a go, however, along with Julian Walker and Judge Collier. Walker didn’t play against Florida, while Brownlow-Dindy has missed back-to-back games. Collier was injured against the Gators but will be available.
South Carolina is coming off an open week, carrying momentum after an upset of Florida in Gainesville. That cooled Beamer’s scorching-hot seat, at least temporarily. But a loss to the Volunteers on Saturday would drop the Gamecocks to 1-4 in the SEC and might renew talks of whether or not he sees out the season.
