Six SEC coaches were named to the 2016 Paul “Bear” Bryant Watch List Wednesday.

Alabama’s Nick Saban, Arkansas’ Bret Bielema, Auburn’s Gus Malzahn, Florida’s Jim McElwain, Tennessee’s Butch Jones and Texas A&M’s Kevin Sumlin were all included in the list of 23 coaches.

Saban’s Crimson Tide and Sumlin’s Aggies are the last two remaining undefeated teams in the SEC. Jones’ Vols and McElwain’s Gators are the two favorites to win the SEC East. Malzahn’s Tigers and Bielema’s Razorbacks enter Saturday’s matchup with four wins respectively.

The Bear Bryant Coach of the Year Award is the only college coaching honor presented after the conclusion of all the bowl games. It will be voted on by the National Sports Media Association. Five to 10 finalists will be announced in December and are scheduled to attend the awards banquet in January.
