Picks for NFL Week 13

There are some great NFL matchups to monitor this weekend on Sleeper. Here are some of our pick for Sunday’s NFL slate, including bears-Steelers and Bucs-Rams.

Luther Burden, Chicago Bears WR: Higher 3.5 receptions

The Bears face off against a truly terrible Steelers pass defense, one that is allowing opposing offenses the most yardage of any team in the NFL. At the same time, I think Burden’s line is undervalued here. The rookie Bears receiver is starting to eat Olamide Zaccheaus’s minutes and is separating himself as one of Chicago’s top receivers. I expect his targets to increase this week and for the former Tiger to have his best game as a pro.

TreVeyon Henderson, New England Patriots RB: More 55.5 rushing yards

I have a theme with my picks. I like taking the “more” number against bad defenses, and the Bengals absolutely qualify. Henderson has been above this total in 3 of is last 4 games, and only missed it by a half yard in the sole miss. He now faces a considerably worse rushing defense than he did in all of those games, and will be in good shape with New England likely to try to establish the run early. I wouldn’t be surprised if Henderson hit this total by halftime.

Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams QB: Higher 257.5 passing yards

Matthew Stafford still has it, and the Rams quarterback faces a shaky Bucs passing defense on Sunday Night Football. Even if he was facing a strong defense, I’d take Stafford to keep showing out. The former Georgia quarterback has the 7th most yards of any NFL quarterback and he had a bit of a down week during the last matchup against the Seahawks. Expect a nice bounce back against the Bucs.
