Week 10 of the 2026 college football season is the most jam-packed slate of the year. We’re currently set to see five matchups between top-16 squads, including Kentucky–Tennessee, Alabama–LSU and Miami-Notre Dame and Georgia–Ole Miss.

Each of those games will have a major impact on the College Football Playoff chase. Despite this, they’re not almost going to directly determine a conference championship participant, like BYU-Utah. The No. 8 Cougars and No. 6 Utes renewing hostilities in the Holy War will be appointment television. Unfortunately, media networks didn’t feel that way.

On Monday, Utah revealed its kickoff vs. BYU would be at noon ET (10:00 a.m. Mountain Time) on ABC or ESPN. As a result, the Cougars and Utes will get underway before McDonald’s closes its breakfast menu that Saturday.

In an era where it feels like the Big 12 is routinely disrespected, this time slot enraged college football fans across the country. BYU and Utah supporters, especially, are in disbelief that this rivalry affair, with all its stakes, couldn’t secure a 7:30 p.m. ET (5:30 p.m. MT) start time.

The Cougars and Utes get a chance to prove TV executives wrong with matchups vs. Arizona State and at Cincinnati, respectively, this weekend. The Sun Devils play in Provo at 3:30 p.m. ET (FOX), with Utah kicking off against the Bearcats less than half an hour later (3:45 p.m. ET, ESPN).
